Training Day 6

 

September 19:

Today was an excellent training day for Bennie. We started the session on FR2 and in four minutes Bennie had pressed the lever 118 times. Because of her impressive progress, I removed Bennie from the operant box and loaded FR3. In 11 minutes Bennie pressed the lever 213 times, receiving 71 reinforcements. Feeling audacious, I removed Bennie again and loaded FR5. 40 presses later Bennie finished her training session and was weighed and fed. Moving up two levels in a single training session was intensely motivating for me, and I think for Bennie as well. She truly seems to understand what is expected of her now and is eager to perform.
